Flintstrike is a 40 mile race at H9 Fierce Dragon. Twenty-four hour time limit for one loop on the Duncan Ridge. This is an entry-level race to the Fierce Dragon experience.

About the Event
The FD Flintstrike 40 is a 40 mile race that takes place on the last day of the 200M race. This race starts on Saturday morning (8am) and ends on Sunday morning (8am) giving 24 hours to complete 40 miles. The course involves 2x full traverses of the Duncan Ridge (1 lap). The intent of this race is to offer an entry-level option into the Feirce Dragon event. In that regard, this race has special pacer requirements if the runner is not able to begin the return traverse before 5:30 PM on Saturday evening. This requirement ensures that runners new to the Duncan Ridge Trail (DRT) have adequate mental and emotional support to arrive back at Vogel in a timely manner. Although 24 hours is plenty of time to complete this race, it is understood that some runners in this race may not have much experience on rugged trails such aa the DRT; so similar to the 100M race, early start options are available to runners over 65 (+2 hrs) and over 70 (+4 hrs).
